Welsh comedian Morgan Rees performs live at the Foundry, Sheffield Students' Union, recommended for ages 14 and over.
Morgan Rees plays Foundry at Sheffield Students' Union on Wednesday 23 October. He's a Welsh comedian who built his following on more than 25 million video views, so if you've come across his clips online, this is a chance to see the live version.
He first made a name for himself as a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2017, the same year he finished as runner-up in So You Think You're Funny?. He later reached the final of Chortle's Student Comedy Award in 2020, and has spent the years since supporting Joanne McNally, Rhys James and Jayde Adams on tour. When he's not on stage, he co-hosts the podcasts My Bad and Chatting With Cherubs with Josh Jones and GearΓ³id Farrelly.
Critics have called him a fine storyteller with tremendous heart and warmth, which gives you a fair idea of where the set sits β more on the storytelling side of things than the quick-fire joke side. It's a show recommended for ages 14 and over, so it's one you can bring a younger teenager along to if you're fancying a night out with them.
