A small, candlelit women's sharing circle on the eve of the Solstice with meditation, gentle movement, storytelling and a midwinter wreath.
Johanna is holding a Midwinter Full Moon Women's Circle at The Nook Retreat, Dyson Place in Sharrow on Sunday 20 December, from 6pm to 8pm. It falls on the eve of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, and the whole evening is built around that particular moment in the calendar.
The circle is a nourishing gathering that honours the dark, the returning light, and the cycles we move through. It's a candlelit space of slowness, peace and authentic connection, open to anyone seeking clarity, emotional renewal or simply a night of calm. The evening combines grounding practices, meditation, gentle movement and storytelling, and closes with the making of a midwinter wreath from natural materials — a living symbol of the continuity of life and the cyclical nature of the seasons.
Numbers are kept small, with a maximum of nine women, so it's an intimate group rather than a large room. Because of that, there's a strict start: latecomers aren't admitted after 6:10pm, so you'll want to be there a few minutes early to settle in before things get underway. The venue is The Nook Retreat, Dyson Place, Sharrow, S11 8XX, in the S11 area of Sheffield.
