Hair metal band Midnite City play Corporation in Sheffield City Centre.
Midnite City play Corporation on Saturday 12 December, with the night starting at 7:00 PM. They're a Nottingham band, so this is a bit of a trip up the M1 for them, and they'll be playing as a five-piece: Rob Wylde on vocals, Miles Meakin on guitar, Josh Williams on bass, Ryan Briggs on drums, and Shawn Charvette on keyboards.
They've been around since 2017 and call themselves the kings of hair metal, and they've put out four albums since then. Their second record, There Goes The Neighbourhood, came out in 2018 and picked up some fair attention: Classic Rock voted it the fifth best melodic rock album of the year, and Japan's Burrn! magazine named it one of the best albums of the past 35 years, later listing it as one of the greatest hair metal records of all time. That's the one that really put them on the map, and it's still a big part of what they do.
Their latest is Bite The Bullet, released in November 2025. They describe it as their strongest album to date, and it was mixed by Grammy award-winning producer Chris Laney, who's worked with Europe, Crash Diet, and Crazy Lixx. Critics have said it picks up where late-80s hair metal left off, so if you're into that sound, this is the record that'll be fresh in the set. Rob Wylde fronts the band's high-energy, feel-good party rock, and they've headlined two consecutive UK tours, played across Europe, America, Brazil, and Australia, and done two sold-out tours of Japan. They've got a dedicated following they call 'The Midnite Army', and that's the kind of crowd they usually draw.
