Lucy Beaumont: Bad At Quiz Shows, Good With Weirdos

Lucy Beaumont is coming to Sheffield City Hall Memorial Hall on Thursday 17 June 2027, with her new tour Bad At Quiz Shows, Good With Weirdos. The title isn't just a joke; it's a fair summary of where she's been lately. She's built a bit of a reputation for being a disaster on game shows: she once cost a contestant £79,000 on primetime TV and flopped spectacularly on Mastermind. If you've seen her on The Traitors or The Great British Sewing Bee — where she made couture out of cow udders — you'll know the sort of thing she means when she says normal is overrated.

This is a return to what she does best: stand-up. The tour is described as chaotic brilliance, taking half-formed thoughts on the deeply ordinary and stretching them until they turn surreal. It's that specific kind of comedy where a tiny, mundane observation spirals out into something completely unexpected, and she's the one leading the way. If you've followed her on TV, this is the live version of that energy, with the focus back on the stage rather than a game show set.

It's a good night for anyone who likes their comedy a bit off-centre and doesn't mind things getting a little weird. The show starts at 20:00 at Sheffield City Hall Memorial Hall, Barkers Pool, Sheffield, S1 2JA.
