A three-day sustainable fashion fair featuring second-hand shopping, live clothing repairs, talks, workshops and an indie business market.
Lucy & Yak are taking over Peddler Warehouse for their Circular Fashion Fair, running from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October. It's a free three-day event in Neepsend, and the shopping is a big part of it: there will be over 40 rails of PreLoved and (Im)Perfect treasures to dig through. Alongside the rails, there's a Repairs for Life hub, a series of talks and panels — one titled 'Can Sheffield Save the Planet?' — and a live Style Off.
If you're more into making than talking, there are hands-on workshops on the first two days. On Friday, you can screen print with Printed By Us from 12pm to 3pm, and on Saturday, illustrator Hello Sanpo runs a tote painting session, also 12pm to 3pm. An Indie Biz Market runs alongside everything else, so there's more to browse than just the clothing.
For context, Lucy & Yak is the colourful, comfy clothing brand that started out in a campervan called Yak. Since 2023, its community has helped keep more than 50,000 garments in circulation through Re:Yak, and this fair marks the launch of 'Repairs for Life', which gives UK Comfort Club members free repairs on eligible Lucy & Yak pieces for as long as they own them.
