Free guided wellness walk along the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal towpaths to Victoria Quays, suitable for adults and children from seven years old.
Let's Walk! Sheffield Wellness Walks are heading to Victoria Quays on Thursday 12 November, starting at the Meadowhall South Tram stop. It's a guided stroll along the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal, led by walk leaders who keep the group together as you make your way from the tram stop over to the quays. The route follows the canal towpaths and takes around two hours to complete.
These walks are part of the Canal & River Trust's 'Let's Activity' campaign, a free programme run by the waterways and wellbeing charity to encourage people to get out, get active and improve their lives by the water. The Trust describes the Wellness Walks as guided strolls along the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal, conceived as a relaxing step into nature with the chance to meet others and make new friends. It's an easy grade, so it's suitable for adults and for supervised children from seven years old upwards.

Before you set off, there are a few practical things to keep in mind. You'll want comfortable footwear for the towpaths, clothing that suits the weather, and a bottle of water to carry with you. The meeting point is the Meadowhall South Tram stop on Meadowhall Road, Sheffield, S9 1EP, and the walk is free to attend.
