American tribute revue led by William Hicks and the Soul Unlimited live band through the hits of Barry White.
William Hicks brings Let The Music Play: The Legend of Barry White to the Montgomery Theatre on Friday 20 November, a tribute show dedicated to the maestro and legend Barry White. It's a production that comes direct from the USA as a critically acclaimed revue, billed as the only UK touring show dedicated to him.
At the front is Hicks himself, known as 'the big man with the big voice', who hails from Atlanta, Georgia. His stage presence recreates the distinctive style and silky-smooth bass-baritone vocals of the three-time Grammy Award winner. He's backed by the Soul Unlimited live band, with support from the Motown Supreme Dreamgirls, so there's a full band and backing vocals on stage rather than just a singer and a track.
The show runs around one hour and 55 minutes, including an interval, and works its way through White's hits. Among them are 'Let the Music Play', 'You're the First, the Last, My Everything', 'Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe', 'Just the Way You Are' and 'What Am I Gonna Do With You'.
