Weekly Sunday drawing session led by storyboard artist Ed Swales, for over-18s, with all materials provided.
Storyline Arts are running a drawing session at The Punch Bowl on Sunday 15 November, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. It's part of a weekly series that's been running every Sunday since 14 June, so if you can't make this one, there's another the week before and the week after. The session takes place in the function room at the pub, 236 Crookes, S10 1TH.
The classes are led by Ed Swales, a TV and film storyboard artist whose credits include Casualty for the BBC and The One Note Man for Disney+. He's also a senior lecturer in cinematography at MetFilm School and a visiting lecturer at Leeds Arts University, so he's spent a good deal of time teaching the craft as well as practising it. The sessions focus on drawing from observation and material workflow, and they cover a fair range of subjects: animals, food and drink, portraits and still life. All the materials are provided, so you don't need to bring your own kit.

Each one costs £10, and there are block booking discounts if you're planning to stick with it for a while. If you do book and then can't make it, you can get a refund up to three days before the session. The whole thing is run by Storyline Arts, and it's held in the function room at The Punch Bowl, 236 Crookes, Sheffield S10 1TH, from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Sunday 15 November.
