Stand-up comedy gig by Larry Dean, the Glaswegian comedian, performing his 'Hellbent' tour about refusing to grow up.
Larry Dean brings his new show Hellbent to Electric Studios (formerly Leadmill) on Monday 16 November, with the set starting at 19:30 and doors opening about half an hour before. It's a full hour of stand-up, and Dean describes it as a riotous one about refusing to grow up.
If you've never come across him, Dean is a Glaswegian comedian who's been at this since 2008. He was named Scottish Comedian of the Year in 2013 and nominated for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2015, and since then he's appeared on Saturday Night Live, Live at the Apollo, QI and The Royal Variety Performance. He's also a cast member of SNL UK.
Hellbent is the latest in a long line of his own shows — he's written Dodger, Fudnut, Farcissist, Fandan, Bampot and Work In Progress along the way. He arrives at this one recently married and, in his own words, "emotionally feral," with the hour built around that same refusal to grow up. It's a Glaswegian comic who's spent over a decade on the circuit, and this is the latest show he's taking out on the road.
