Intermediate patchwork workshop to make a Nebraska star quilt at Happy Hare on Arundel Road.
Happy Hare is running an intermediate patchwork workshop on Saturday 21 November, and the project on the table is a Nebraska star quilt. It's a two-day course, so you'll be there on Saturday and then back again on Sunday 22 November to see it through.
If you're not familiar with the pattern, the Nebraska star is a classic of the quilting world. It's a star-based design that repeats across the quilt, and because it's an intermediate workshop, it's aimed at people who've already got the basics of patchwork under their belt and are ready to step up to something a bit more involved. You'll be working through the construction of the quilt over the weekend, with the star pattern as the main feature.
The workshop runs from 10:00 on Saturday and continues through to Sunday, so it's a proper session rather than a one-off taster. You'll have two days to get your stitching sorted and your blocks lined up, which is a fair bit more breathing room than a single afternoon would give you. It's held at Happy Hare, 1A Arundel Road, Sheffield, S35 2RB, over in the S35 area of the city.

It's £81.96 for the course, which covers both days. If you've been sewing for a while and fancy a weekend spent making a full quilt from start to finish, this is a good way to do it.
