Free group exhibition by members of the Kelham Island Artist Collective at the Gage Gallery on Kelham Island.
I Am Greater Than This opens at Gage Gallery on Friday 23 October, a group exhibition bringing together members of the Kelham Island Artist Collective. It's a collective show, so you'll see work from across the group rather than a single artist, and it's co-curated by Cathal Lindsay.
The collective is based right here in Kelham Island, and this show pulls from its membership, with the work coming from the artists who make up the group. It's a chance to see what they've been working on and how their different practices sit together in one space. Because it's a group exhibition, the variety comes from the artists themselves, and the curation by Lindsay helps tie the whole thing together.
There are two ways to catch it. The opening night is Friday 23 October, starting at 19:00, which is when the show first opens its doors. If you can't make that, the gallery stays open through the following week, from Saturday 24 to Wednesday 28 October, with opening times from 11:30. That gives you a few days to wander through at your own pace if a Friday evening doesn't suit.
