Free photography exhibition of stories and images from women across Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
YWCA Yorkshire is bringing Through Their Eyes to Victoria - Wedding & Events Venue on Wednesday 25 November, from 10 am to 3 pm. It's the exhibition side of their Listening Project, and it's free to get in.
The project is a creative awareness and empowerment campaign that gathers and amplifies the voices of women across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and beyond through photography. The images on display come from people supported by YWCA Yorkshire, alongside wider community members, who submitted photographs and stories reflecting their lived experience. The collection captures moments of strength, struggle, hope and resilience, and each image is paired with the story behind it.
The exhibition marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and YWCA Yorkshire frames it as an opportunity for conversation, understanding and change for all women. It's a day for looking at these stories and talking about them, rather than just passing through.
