Beginners 90-minute in-store crocheting workshop to make a granny square, available at Hobbycraft stores across the UK.
Hobbycraft is running a beginners' guide to crocheting a granny square in Sheffield on Monday 26 October. It's a 90-minute in-store workshop, and the title says it all: it's for two people, so it's one of those things you bring a friend along to. If you've never picked up a crochet hook before, that's exactly who it's for.
The focus is the granny square, that classic bit of crochet that's the building block for so much more. You'll learn how to work through the rounds to get a proper square, and because it's a beginners' session, they'll walk you through the basics from the start. Once you've got the hang of one square, you can keep going and join them together into a blanket, a bag, or whatever else you fancy making.
It's a 90-minute session held inside the store, and since it's for two, you'll be working alongside your partner rather than on your own. It's a good way to pick up a new skill without having to figure it out from a video at home, and you'll leave with something you've actually made.
