Family Halloween party at the animal farm with a UV disco, party games, a moonlight pumpkin patch and a spooky woodland walk.
Graves Park Animal Farm is hosting a Halloween party on Friday 23 October, from 16:00 to 20:00. It's a family affair run by the farm's own farmers, who put it together to raise vital funds for the upkeep of the animal farm and to bring some fun and fear to the whole family this October.
The evening is built around a UV disco in the barn, with party games and dance competitions to keep things moving. Outside, there's a pumpkin patch to pick in the moonlight, and a spooky woodland walk that takes you up to see Wilma the Witch in the haunted woods. It's aimed at ages 0 to 10, though it's open to all ages, and everyone needs a ticket to get in.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. The barn session involves flashing lights, music and spooky scares, so it's worth knowing that if you've got little ones who might find it a bit much. Both the pumpkin picking and the haunted woods are on uneven ground and will be dark, so sturdy shoes are a good shout. And just a heads-up: no dogs are allowed on site for this one.
