Social reading session with hundreds of graphic novels and zines for attendees to pick and read at their own pace, as a venue takeover during Thought Bubble Festival Week.
Graphic Novel Reading Room returns to The Treehouse Board Game Café on Monday 9 November, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It's a social reading session where people read graphic novels and zines in the company of others, and this time it's a full venue takeover as part of Thought Bubble Festival Week. The Reading Room has been running in Sheffield and with organisations across the UK since 2021, and this is its return to The Treehouse.
Inside, hundreds of graphic novels and zines are laid out, mostly literary and spanning fiction, non-fiction, science fiction, horror, graphic medicine and manga. You pick your own and read at your own pace, with no group discussion and the freedom to arrive and leave as you please. The Treehouse kitchen serves food, drinks and cakes throughout the evening, and the organiser posts pictures and feedback from previous sessions on Instagram at @graphicnovelreadingroom.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
