Gorillaween Halloween party at the Gorilla Beer Hall on Cliff Street, with a £5 entry.
Gorillaween Part II is on at Gorilla Beer Hall on Saturday 31 October, running from 6:00pm to 11:00pm. It's the second instalment of the Gorillaween party, and it lands right on Halloween night, so it's an easy one to build your evening around if you're already planning something for the date.
The venue is Gorilla Beer Hall, Unit 3 Cliff Street, Mexborough, S64 9HU, just on the edge of Sheffield. It's a small room with a capacity of 50, sitting alongside the Sheffield and Doncaster navigational canal. Outside there's a large south-facing beer yard that joins up with the venue's award-winning on-site brewery, so if the room gets full, there's plenty of space to spill out into the open air. The room itself books a fair mix, from live music to an on-site kitchen serving gourmet street food, and the brewery is right there on the premises.
Gorilla Beer Hall has a bit of history to it, too. It started as a 1920s pub in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, though the original premises have since closed or moved. The name now belongs to the venue that operated on Cliff Street before it became a residential address, so it's a bit of a revival of a local name. Between the brewery, the kitchen, and the canal running past the door, it's a good spot to hang out for the whole evening rather than just popping in for a drink.
