Gingerbread Party

Popworld Sheffield is hosting its Gingerbread Party on Saturday 5 December, so if you're looking for something to do in the city that weekend, this is one to keep in mind. It's a themed night, and the name gives you a good idea of what to expect — a bit of festive chaos and a lot of gingerbread going around. It's the kind of thing that works best when you've got a group together, so it's a decent shout for a night out with friends as the December party season starts to kick in.

As for what actually happens on the night, the organisers describe it as a mix of festive fun, cheesy bangers and gingerbread madness. The cheesy bangers part tells you exactly where the music is headed: the kind of pop and dance floor fillers that everyone knows the words to, rather than anything subtle or understated. It's a night built for singing along and dancing, not for standing at the back and nodding along. The gingerbread theme runs through it all, so it's a good excuse to lean into the festive side of things.

It's a Saturday night in the city centre, which makes it easy to get to and easy to build a whole evening around if you're coming from further afield. If you're already in Sheffield, it's just another night out in the usual spot. The party kicks off from 21:00, so you've got plenty of time to get sorted before you head in. Entry is free, which takes the pressure off if you're just fancying a look or if you're on a budget. It's a straightforward one: Saturday 5 December at Popworld Sheffield, from 21:00, with free entry.
