Monthly free board game evening for adults of all ages at Sheffield Central Library, run by Libraries Sheffield.
Game Night in the Library is back at Sheffield Central Library on Wednesday 21 October, running from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. It's one of the library's monthly socials for adults, and the focus is on modern board games rather than the classics you've grown up with. If you're more used to Monopoly and Scrabble, this is a good chance to see what the newer scene looks like.
It's open to adults of all ages, and you don't need to be a regular to fit in. The night is pitched as an evening of laughter, strategy and camaraderie, and it's run by Libraries Sheffield. Whether you're a veteran gamer who knows your way around a complex rulebook or a complete newcomer who's never played anything beyond a deck of cards, you're welcome. The whole thing is built around the games themselves, so you'll spend the evening playing rather than just talking about them.
On the table this time, Meadow is confirmed, with more to be announced. The focus stays on modern board games, so you'll be playing titles from the current era of gaming rather than the old staples. It's a social night, so the games are the excuse to get together and play with other people.

It's free to attend, and tea and coffee are provided on the night. Spaces are limited, so it's worth getting your name down early if you're planning to come along. You'll find it at Central Library on Surrey Street in the city centre, S1 1XZ, on Wednesday 21 October from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
