Founders Sheffield is launching its first-ever meetup on Tuesday 10 November at Discovery At Pennine Five, 20 Hawley Street, Block 4, in the city centre. It's the start of a new monthly community that brings local founders together to work, make connections, share ideas and socialise, and this is Day 01.

The day is framed as a working day rather than a conference, which sets the tone for how it runs. There are no forced pitches, no awkward sales circles and no expectation that everyone there becomes your customer. The idea is to get a group of people who are building things in the city into one room for the day, and let the networking happen naturally around the work.

The afternoon session is led by Callum Parker, a local designer and Creative Lead at Olano with more than ten years in design, who'll be running a Brand Direction Session. It's a practical bit of work to slot into the middle of the day, rather than a talk to sit through. The whole thing is supported by Risqly, One Ninety Nine, Settl, Business Sheffield and venue partner Discovery by Scrannery.

It runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm, so you can treat it as a full day out of the office. It's free to attend, and you can find tickets on Eventbrite.
