Beginner-friendly workshop led by textile artist CharKnots to make an everlasting festive wreath with macramé and dried flowers.
CharKnots, a local textile artist, is running a festive wreath workshop at Small Plants on Saturday 12 December, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The whole point is to make your own everlasting Christmas wreath using macrame and dried flowers, so it's something that stays up long after the decorations usually come down.
You'll get to pick from a variety of colours, ribbons and dried flowers, which means you're not just following a template — you're making something that actually looks like yours. The session is pitched squarely at beginners, and you don't need any prior experience with macrame or dried flowers to get stuck in. CharKnots keeps the groups small, with no more than ten people in a session, so there's plenty of room to ask questions and get a hand if you're struggling with a knot.
It's a proper evening out, too: drinks and mince pies are served while you work. The venue is on Crookes high street, served by the 52 and 52a buses, with on-street parking nearby. You don't need a printed ticket — just show the email confirmation at the door.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
