Family-friendly Halloween-themed silent disco where everyone wears headphones and dances to spooky tunes across two channels.
Cambridge Street Collective is hosting a Family Monster Mash Silent Disco on Friday 30 October, a Halloween-themed dance party for families in the city centre. The whole thing is run by the Collective themselves, and it's geared towards ages three and up, so it's one of those morning slots that works if you've got little ones to keep busy.
The silent disco part is the main thing: everyone puts on a pair of headphones and dances to spooky tunes across two different channels, and you get to choose which one to follow. If you're not feeling the vibe on one, you just flick over to the other. It's a bit of a different way to do a kids' party, since the music stays in your ears rather than filling the room, and the Halloween theme ties it all together.
It's a family-friendly session, so it's meant for parents and kids to dance through together rather than a drop-off. Everyone attending needs a ticket, so you'll want to get yours sorted in advance if you're planning to come along.
