DRYAD X WUB CLUB: 2 Day Halloween Rave

Dryad Works is hosting a two-day Halloween rave on Friday 30 October, put on by DRYAD and WUB Club. It's a joint effort between the two, and they've billed it as a 10th Birthday Bash, so it's more than just a standard Halloween party. The whole thing kicks off at 10pm on Friday and runs right through until Sunday 1 November, meaning it's a proper weekend-long affair rather than a one-night thing. If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a two-day stretch, not a single evening.

As for what to expect, they're promising big headliners and heavy sound systems, and given the 'Wub Club' name, you can get a good sense of the sound they're going for. It's a rave, so the focus is on the dancefloor and the bass. The 10th Birthday Bash angle suggests they're marking a decade of doing this, and they've brought in headliners to match the occasion. It's a Halloween special, so there's a theme to it, but the core is the music and the sound system.

The venue is Dryad Works on Parkwood Road, S3 8AG, in Sheffield. It's a space that's well-known for this kind of thing, and having the sound system as a main feature tells you exactly what the night is built around. If you're coming from outside the city centre, Parkwood Road is the spot to head for.

Tickets start from £12, and since it's a two-day event, that's a fair bit of dancing for the money. It starts at 10pm on Friday 30 October and carries on until Sunday 1 November, so you can drop in for one night or stick around for the whole thing. If you're into raves and don't mind a bit of a marathon over the Halloween weekend, this is the one to have on your radar.
