Displacer, the emotional hardcore band from Sheffield, play live at Corporation in the city centre.
Displacer are playing Corporation on Friday 13 November, their first Sheffield show since they burst onto the scene last year. They're an emotional hardcore band from right here in the city, and this is a home-town gig in the city centre.
They describe their sound as a blend of hardcore punk and 2000s emo, and they talk about it as something that fits as easily in a DIY hardcore basement as it does on a big stage. It's that middle ground they're working in — the raw, loud edge of hardcore punk meeting the melodic, open-hearted side of early-2000s emo. If you've got a soft spot for the era when emo was still a bit rough around the edges, that's the territory they're in.
They first made their mark on the hardcore scene in 2025 with their debut single, The Vi, which is the track that put them on the map. This is a Sheffield band playing to a Sheffield crowd, so it's a good chance to catch them on home turf.
