Discharge play The Lughole, a members' club in Neepsend, with support from Poundaflesh, King of Pigs and Nihility.
Discharge play The Lughole on Saturday 14 November, with doors opening at 7pm. They're the headliners of a four-band bill, sharing the stage with Poundaflesh, King of Pigs and Nihility.
If you're not familiar with them, Discharge formed in 1977 and have left a mark on several sub-genres of extreme music, D-beat in particular. They're known for a minimalistic approach to both their music and their lyrics, and that stripped-back sound is a good way to get a sense of what they do. With three support acts to work through before they take over, it'll be a full night of it.
One thing to keep in mind before you head over: The Lughole is a members' club, so you need to be a member or a guest of a member to get in. If you aren't one yet, membership is cheap: six months for £5, twelve months for £10, and a concession twelve-month membership for £1. Members can sign in up to three guests, so if you're going with a group, one membership can cover you all.
