Afropiano year-end party presented by Afrovibes Sheffield at Onyx Night Club, running into the early hours.
Afrovibes Sheffield are taking over Onyx Nightclub on Saturday 26 December for their Detty December Year End Party. It's a late one, starting at 11 pm and running through until 4:30 am, so you'll be dancing well into the early hours of Sunday morning.
They're billing it as Sheffield's biggest end-of-year Afropiano party, and the music is the whole point of the night. Afropiano blends the smooth, melodic side of Afrobeats with the deep, rolling basslines of Amapiano, so you'll get plenty of both. If you've spent the last few months following the scene, this is the kind of night that brings those sounds together under one roof rather than in separate sets.
Afrovibes Sheffield are the ones putting it on, and they've built their name around this particular sound. The party is part of the Detty December tradition — that period between Christmas and New Year when the city's Afrobeats scene usually goes into overdrive, with parties running late into the night. This one falls right in the middle of that window, on the 26th, so it's a good spot if you're looking to get out between the family visits.
