Heavy metal night headlined by Barnsley band Descendancy, with special guests Kilonova and support acts Hellfader, Zibel and Rust.
Descendancy are headlining Corporation on Saturday 24 October, with a full bill of support. They're a heavy metal band from Barnsley, just up the road in South Yorkshire, and they play a heavy, melodic sound that pulls in elements of metalcore and thrash metal. They made their mark with the debut EP Unholy Matrimony, and they've had a big run of it lately: they won Metal 2 the Masses Sheffield back in May, which earned them a spot on a packed New Blood Stage at Bloodstock.
This show is a bit of a celebration. Corporation worked with them to put together a full night around the band, a way for Descendancy to draw a line under M2TM 26 before they move on to M2TM 27. Joining them as special guests are the thrashers Kilonova, former M2TM Newcastle winners who've played the venue many times over the years. With them on the bill are Hellfader, Zibel, and Rust, so it's a five-band night rather than a standard headliner and one opener.
