Triple bill of Buffet Lunch, Lou Terry and Nap Hotel promoted by DC Presents at Delicious Clam.
Buffet Lunch are playing Delicious Clam on Wednesday 28 October, as part of a triple bill put on by DC Presents. They're sharing the bill with Lou Terry and Nap Hotel, so it's a full evening of three acts rather than a single band. The night starts at 7:30pm at Delicious Clam, 12 Exchange Street, S2 5TS, in the city centre.
Buffet Lunch are a band of musicians based across Glasgow, Edinburgh and — sometimes — Newcastle, who describe their work as ramshackle odysseys of observational charm. It's a bit of a mouthful, and they've got a funny relationship with how they're talked about: they've been described as a group that makes a hodgepodge of noises and is lyrically ridiculous, a claim the band strongly denies. That particular tension — between how they're seen and how they see themselves — is part of the appeal if you're into music that doesn't take itself too seriously.
With Lou Terry and Nap Hotel on the bill as well, it's a proper triple bill rather than a headliner with a couple of quick openers. DC Presents are the ones behind the night, and they've put together a line-up that gives you three different sets in one go. If you're familiar with the Sheffield scene, you'll know Delicious Clam is a small, focused space, so you'll be close to the stage for all three.
