Day Fever, the UK daytime disco and 80s dance party show created by Vicky McClure and Jon McClure, comes to Sheffield City Hall Ballroom.
Day Fever is coming to the Ballroom at Sheffield City Hall for three separate dates: Saturday 7 November, Saturday 5 December, and Sunday 20 December. All three start at 14:00, so you're in and out well before the evening kicks in.
It's a daytime disco, and the formula is straightforward: nostalgic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s played as a clubbing experience that wraps up by early evening. The music is personally curated by Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers and actress Vicky McClure, who's starred in Trigger Point and Line of Duty. They've built a following on the strength of selling out shows from London to Glasgow, and reviewers describe a relaxed, 80s-focused atmosphere with plenty of room on the dance floor.
The Sheffield dates are part of a wider UK-wide tour of 31 daytime disco shows, so if you're not around for one of these, there are plenty of other stops across the country. The event is strictly for over-18s, and since it's a disco, the focus is on the dance floor rather than a stage show.
