Comedy and talk show by Danny Bowes, frontman of Thunder, a completely unscripted Q&A tour based on audience questions.
Danny Bowes brings his Under Pressure tour to Foundry on Thursday 22 April 2027, starting at 8:00pm. It's not a gig — it's a comedy and talk show, and the whole thing is built around the audience. There's no script; the night is shaped by the questions you hand in, so what happens depends on what the room asks.
Bowes is best known as the frontman of the hard rock band Thunder, and that's where the material comes from. The show leans on personal anecdotes, funny stories, and behind-the-scenes tales from decades spent at the front of a hard rock band. If you've followed Thunder, you'll recognise the territory; if you haven't, it's still a look at a long career in the business told from the inside.
The format isn't new. It's the same Q&A setup he used during his Maximum Chat tour in 2025, which he's now expanded into a full show. On that tour, the crowds wrote their questions on cards and posted them in a box, and Under Pressure takes that part and makes it the main event. The show is for ages 14 and over.

There's a bit of a story behind why he's doing this. In 2022, a stroke left him unable to sing — an episode he calls his 'occurrence'. He's still working his way back to it, though he has returned to hosting his show on Planet Rock radio. This tour is part of that return, trading the stage lights for a microphone and a box of questions. Tickets are £31.95, which includes the booking fee, and the show starts at 8:00pm at Foundry, Sheffield Students' Union.
