CPD conference with seven sessions on finance, followed by a networking reception and a three-course prestige dinner with a keynote and live entertainment.
CIMA South Yorkshire is taking over the Radisson Blu Hotel on Thursday 19 November, combining a full day of professional development with their annual Prestige Dinner. It's a long one, starting at 08:30 and running right through into the evening, so you'll want to clear your diary for the whole day.
The morning and afternoon are built around seven sessions of case studies and future-focused discussion, with breaks and lunch included. The line-up brings together voices from academia, policy and industry: Andy Hogben, Head of Commercialisation at the University of Sheffield; Dr Richard Bruce, a supply chain finance specialist from the University of Sheffield Management School; Alex Golledge, Agent for Yorkshire & the Humber at the Bank of England; Douglas Lawson, cofounder and CEO of MarktoMarket; and Luke Staton, author and founder of 'Inspiring the Next Generation'. Between them, they cover the ground from university commercialisation and supply chain finance to regional policy and the next generation of finance talent.
Once the conference wraps, there's a networking reception at the Radisson Blu rooftop bar before the evening's main event: a three-course meal with a keynote, a celebration of CIMA's high-achieving students and live entertainment from a DJ and a saxophonist billed as 'Cat on Sax'. It's a full day of work followed by a proper night out, all in the same building.
