Chuck Prophet

Chuck Prophet plays Firth Hall at the University of Sheffield on Friday 27 November, with doors opening at 19:00. It's a solo bill, so the night is built around him.

Prophet is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who first made his mark with the band Green on Red during the 1980s. That's where he really came into view, and he's spent the decades since working as his own man, writing and recording on his own terms. If you've come across his name before, that's likely where it started.

For the gig, the line-up is just him. It's a straightforward night of songs, with Prophet taking the lead on vocals and guitar. The set will draw from his years as a songwriter, and since he's the only name on the bill, there's no opening act to work through first.

It's at Firth Hall, part of the University of Sheffield's Firth Court on Western Bank, S10 2TN. Doors are at 19:00 on Friday 27 November.
