Two-hour workshop to make a handmade willow Christmas wreath using local Sheffield foliage, run by Oakleacrafts.
Oakleacrafts are running a Christmas wreath workshop at Church - Temple of Fun on Sunday 6 December, from 3pm to 5pm. It's a two-hour session, and the whole thing is led by Beki, the maker behind Oakleacrafts.
What sets this one apart from your usual high-street wreath class is the base. Instead of starting with a pre-made foam ring, you'll be making your own from twisted willow. From there, you'll build out your wreath using local Sheffield foliage, so the greenery you're working with comes from right here in the city rather than being shipped in. You'll leave with a handmade willow wreath you've put together yourself, from the twisted base up.

It's a fully inclusive setup: all the materials are provided, and there are secateurs and gloves available to share, so you don't need to bring your own kit. The workshop takes place in the upstairs event space at Church - Temple of Fun, Unit 4A Rutland Way, Sheffield S3 8DG. It's £40 per person, with everything included in the price. The session is currently sold out, so if you've got a spot, you're set for a Sunday afternoon of making something for your own door this December.
