Hands-on festive workshop with Petal Ritual to design and make your own unique indoor dried flower Christmas wreath.
Petal Ritual are hosting a Christmas dried flower wreath-making workshop at Off The Canvas (121 Eyre Street, Sheffield City Centre, S1 4QW) on Friday 4 December, from 6:30pm to 9pm. It's a relaxed evening session where you design and make your own wreath from scratch, and the whole point is that you aren't copying a set design. You pick your own materials and colour combinations, so what you take home is completely your own rather than a carbon copy of everyone else's.
The result is a bit of a twist on the usual: instead of a traditional outdoor wreath, this is a dried flower creation for indoors, around 40-50cm across. Because it's dried, it lasts long after the festive season — you can keep it on display all year or pack it away and bring it back out every Christmas. You don't need any previous wreath-making or floristry experience to join in, and the ticket covers all the dried flowers, foliage, and decorative materials, as well as the use of all the tools, step-by-step guidance, and a drink of your choice.
Petal Ritual is a Sheffield-based dried-flower studio that does handcrafted arrangements, gifts, wedding flowers, floral installations and creative workshops. They describe their workshops as hands-on floral gatherings built for creativity and connection, part of their wider aim to turn spaces and moments into meaningful rituals. This session fits that description — a creative evening in the city centre where you walk away with something you've made yourself.
