Christmas by Candlelight

Christmas by Candlelight comes to Sheffield City Hall on Wednesday 2 December, a mid-week night that puts the hall in candlelight for a set of Christmas hits. The line-up is a cast of West End singers backed by a live band, and the whole thing is built around the audience singing along to the classics rather than just listening from their seats.

Those classics are the ones you've heard a thousand times over the years: White Christmas, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Santa Baby, O Holy Night and Winter Wonderland. They're the standard Christmas songs that almost everyone knows the words to, and the night is set up so you're expected to join in on them. With a West End cast on the front, the singing is the main thing, and the live band keeps it moving.

It's a one-night thing on Wednesday 2 December at Sheffield City Hall, so it's a mid-week outing rather than a weekend one. If you're into the singing-along side of Christmas, that's the whole point of the evening.
