Non-profit community market in Chapeltown with stalls, international food trucks, a licensed bar and live music.
Chap Community Market is open in the heart of Chapeltown, Sheffield, running every Friday and Saturday throughout the year. It's a non-profit market run by the Chap Community Market group, and they describe it as an inclusive space where communities meet and collaborate. It's open to the public, so you can just turn up whenever suits you.
On the market side, it's a mix of the practical and the treat. You'll find regular stalls covering everyday essentials alongside gifts and party supplies, and international food trucks parked up. There's also a fully licensed bar with outdoor seating, so it works as a spot to grab a drink and sit for a bit while you're there.
Beyond the shopping, there's a live music programme that runs alongside. It covers a fair bit of ground, from Northern Soul nights to young DJs and musicians. On top of that, they run monthly Sunday car boot sales and put on extra events over the school holidays, so there's usually something going on beyond the standard Friday and Saturday trading.
