A candlelight concert by a string quartet playing Oasis songs at Sheffield Cathedral.
Oasis get the candlelight treatment at Sheffield Cathedral on Friday 20 November, with a string quartet taking on a good chunk of their catalogue. It's a tribute rather than the real thing — not affiliated with the band or their estate — and the whole thing is stripped back to strings, with the cathedral lit by thousands of candles. The quartet is still to be announced, but the setlist is already laid out.
They're working through a long list of Oasis songs, and it's a broad one. You'll get the big ones like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova and Stop Crying Your Heart Out, but there's plenty more in there: Whatever, She Is Love, Supersonic, She's Electric, Stand by Me, Half of the World Away, Don't Go Away, Songbird, Little by Little, The Hindu Times and She Is Love again. It's a full hour of them, so it's a fair way through the songs.
The venue is Sheffield Cathedral on Church Street, one of the city's five Grade I listed buildings. It's a bit of a mix of medieval and modern, with the oldest part dating back to around 1200 and the newest bit finished in 1966. The room is lit only by candles, and the music is a tribute, not an original show.

Tickets start from £20.48 and have to be bought through the Fever app or website, not at the cathedral. Seating is first-come, first-served, so the earlier you get there, the better your spot. The concert runs from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, with doors opening 45 minutes before and closing five minutes before it starts. You'll need to be 8 or older to get in, and under-16s have to be accompanied by an adult.
