A candlelight concert by a string quartet playing Fleetwood Mac songs in Sheffield Cathedral.
A string quartet is bringing a tribute to Fleetwood Mac to Sheffield Cathedral on Friday 13 November, part of the Candlelight concert series. It's a tribute night, not the band themselves, and the whole thing is performed under candlelight in one of the city's five Grade I listed buildings. The cathedral's oldest section dates back to around 1200, with the newest part finished in 1966, and this is the first time it's been used for a Candlelight concert in Sheffield.
The setlist pulls from across the band's career. You'll hear Everywhere, Gypsy, You Make Loving Fun, Never Going Back Again, Don't Stop, Gold Dust Woman, Go Your Own Way, Landslide, Little Lies, Songbird, Rhiannon and The Chain. It's a fair run through the songs most people know, stripped back to a string quartet rather than the full band sound.
