British singer-songwriter Callaghan plays The Greystones in Sheffield, with Ed Cosens opening.
Callaghan plays The Greystones on Monday 26 October, with Ed Cosens opening the night. It's a singer-songwriter bill, so you'll get two sets of songs rather than a single act taking up the whole evening.
Callaghan is a British singer-songwriter who moved to London at eighteen to turn professional, then relocated to the United States in 2010 to tour and record with Grammy nominee Shawn Mullins. She plays both piano and guitar, and her voice has drawn comparisons with Sarah McLachlan and Emmylou Harris. Her repertoire runs from piano pop to acoustic folk and country, a style that's found an audience in Europe and the States alike.
Her recent years have been spent recording on both sides of the Atlantic. She spent four years in Nashville working on her second album, A History Of Now, before moving to LA to cut the self-titled record Callaghan, which came out on 31 August. That one was produced by Starr Parodi, Jeff Eden Fair and Anthony Resta, and it's the latest addition to a body of work that spans those piano pop, folk and country territories.
