Boozy Bingo St Paddys Special

Boozy Bingo is taking over The OEC on Sunday 14 March for a St Patrick's Day special, and it's an afternoon session rather than a late one. The whole thing runs from 2pm through to 8pm, so you're in and out while it's still light, which makes it a decent shout for a Sunday.

The afternoon is split into two halves. Doors open at 2pm, and that's when the food comes out, so you've got a good window to get sorted and eat before the main event kicks off. From 3pm, the entertainment takes over: the bingo itself, a drag host running the show, and comedy woven in between the numbers. It's not just about the game, then — the host keeps things moving with a bit of a performance around it.

There's a strong St Patrick's Day theme running through the lot. The room is decked out in green, and the prizes are Irish-themed, so it's a bit more than just a few numbers called out. Cocktails are part of the mix, too, and the bingo is played alongside them throughout the afternoon.

Once the bingo is done, it doesn't just stop; there's a disco to keep things going, so you can stay on for a few drinks and a dance after the prizes have been handed out. The whole thing wraps up by 8pm, which is a handy way to end a Sunday without it spilling too far into the working week.
