Free talk by ultra marathoner Jo Taylor on how to train for and complete the Bob Graham Round in the Lake District, part of Sheffield Adventure Stories' 'Inspiring free talks'.
Jo Taylor is coming to The Peacock in Stannington on Thursday 22 October to talk about the Bob Graham Round. If you've never come across it, the Round is a legendary challenge that takes in the highest peaks of the Lake District, and Taylor is an ultra marathoner who's actually done it. She'll be explaining how to train for it, how to prepare, and what it takes to get through to the end.
The talk is part of Sheffield Adventure Stories' 'Inspiring free talks', a series they describe as having a friendly local feel, where you can meet outdoor enthusiasts, ask your own questions and hear from people who've been there and done it. It's not just a presentation; there's room to get stuck in with the Q&A, so if you've ever wondered about the logistics of a challenge like this, it's a good chance to pick the brain of someone who's lived it.
It's a fairly long session, running for two hours and fifteen minutes, so there's plenty of time to cover the training and the round itself without rushing. The whole thing is for ages 18 and over.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
