A live, in-person social deduction game where players are assigned hidden roles in a village struck by a demon, with a custom Halloween script and costume prize.
The Dice Box is running a Halloween special of Blood on the Clocktower on Saturday 31 October, from 7pm to 10pm. It's a live, in-person social deduction game, and the night is run by the board game cafe and games group that calls the venue home. Everyone gets a hidden role, and a storyteller guides the whole thing, so you don't need to have played before: the rules are explained both before and during the game, and there's a YouTube tutorial you can watch in advance if you'd rather go in knowing the basics.
The Halloween special works from a custom script set in a village struck by a demon that murders by night and disguises itself in human form by day. The townsfolk have their own abilities to fight back, and the night throws in new characters and surprises along the way. There's also a prize for the best Halloween costume, so it's a good excuse to turn up in fancy dress. The whole session runs for about three hours, and if fewer than five or six players turn up, the night is cancelled and everyone gets a full refund.
