Hands-on cocktail masterclass at the food hall Cambridge Street Collective where the bar team guides attendees in making three summer cocktails.
Cambridge Street Collective is running a cocktail masterclass on Thursday 12 November, and it's one of those things you can actually do yourself rather than just watching someone else do it. The session is called Blend and Shake, and the whole point is to get you behind the bar making three summer cocktails under the guidance of the venue's own bar team. Once you've shaken them up, you get to drink what you've made, which is the best part.
It's pitched at everyone from complete beginners to home bartenders looking to level up their skills, so you don't need to know your way around a jigger to get stuck in. If you've never made a drink in your life, that's fine; if you've got a few recipes you already use and just want to see how the pros do it, that works too. The bar team will walk you through the three drinks, and you'll be the one doing the mixing and shaking.
For a bit of context on where this is happening, Cambridge Street Collective is a food hall in the city centre that houses more than 20 food vendors serving global cuisine. They describe it as Europe's largest purpose-built food hall, and it's become one of Sheffield's favourite spots for food and drink, so it's a good place to spend an evening even if you aren't the one making the drinks.
