Festive cocktail masterclass at Cutlery Works where guests make the venue's own Christmas cocktails.
Cutlery Works is running a cocktail masterclass on Thursday 10 December, just as the Christmas rush starts to kick in. It's called Blend & Shake, and the whole thing is built around the festive season, so it's a good shout if you're looking for something to do with a few friends before the holiday parties really take over.
The setup is straightforward: you get behind the bar and make the venue's own festive cocktails. It's not just watching someone else do it; you're the one shaking and stirring, so you'll actually come away knowing how to put them together. The drinks themselves are built on seasonal flavours, and the session is framed as a way to shake, stir and sip your way into Christmas.

It's a mid-week one, running from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, so it fits easily into a Thursday evening without taking up your whole night. The venue is Cutlery Works, over at 73-101 Neepsend Lane in Neepsend, Sheffield S3 8AT. If you've never been to that part of the city, it's a bit of a trek from the centre, but it's worth the trip for a proper session behind the bar. Tickets are £30, which covers the drinks and the instruction, and the whole thing runs for an hour and a half.
