Cocktail masterclass at Cutlery Works to mark the venue's eighth birthday, where participants make two of its favourite cocktails.
Cutlery Works is hosting a cocktail masterclass on Saturday 7 November, and the reason behind it is a good one: the venue is celebrating its eighth birthday. It's a midday session, running from 12 pm to 1 pm, so it's more of a Saturday lunch thing than a late-night affair.
Over the hour, you'll shake, muddle and sip your way through two of the venue's favourite cocktails, and the team will be on hand to share the tips and tricks they use behind the bar. It's a hands-on bit of business, so you're doing the work yourself rather than just watching someone else do it. If you've ever wondered why some drinks come out just right and others don't, this is where you'll pick up the how and why.
Cutlery Works is based in Neepsend, at 73-101 Neepsend Lane, S3 8AT. It's a bit of a trek from the city centre, but that's part of the area's appeal — it's a proper industrial pocket of Sheffield that's become a hub for makers and creators, and the venue fits right into that. The masterclass is one of the ways they're marking eight years in the business, so it's a celebration of the place as much as the drinks.
