Big Country play their hit 'Look Away' and other classics at Corporation in Sheffield.
Big Country are playing Picturedrome in Sheffield on Sunday 20 November, their first Sheffield date in a while. They're touring the new record, The Seer, and the set leans on it without dropping the early songs.
They've put together a ten-song set for the night. The Seer gets plenty of air, with 'The Seer' itself, 'The Teacher', 'I Walk The Hill', 'Eiledon', 'One Great Thing', 'Hold The Heart', 'Remembrance Day', 'The Red Fox' and 'The Sailor' all making the list. 'Look Away' is in there too, and that's their biggest UK hit, so you'll get the newer material alongside the one most people know.
For those who haven't kept up, Big Country are one of Scotland's most iconic rock bands, known for fusing post-punk, new wave and Scottish folk. They formed in 1981 in Dunfermline, and their 1983 debut The Crossing was triple Grammy nominated and produced hit singles like 'In a Big Country', which sold two million copies, and 'Fields of Fire'. Later favourites include 'Chance' and 'East of Eden'. Their catalogue also holds Steeltown and Peace In Our Time.
