Two-hour bag painting workshop with professional artists, using metallic paints on provided tote bags.
mistmiav is running a bag painting workshop at the Langsett Building on Tuesday 27 October, and it's a proper two-hour session rather than a quick taster. The whole thing is led by two professional artists who'll be on hand to guide you through the painting, so you're not just left to your own devices. They've got shiny metallic paint colours ready to go, which is a nice touch if you want your design to stand out a bit more than a standard flat finish.
They provide a tote bag and acrylic markers for everyone, so you can turn up with nothing and leave with something you've actually made. That said, if you've already got a bag you'd rather work on, you're more than welcome to bring your own along. It's a good setup for anyone who's never picked up a marker before, but there's enough room to do your own thing if you've already got an idea in mind.
It's a family-friendly one, too: under-14s can come along as long as they're with a parent or legal guardian. If your plans change, you can get a refund up until one day before the session, which takes the pressure off if you're not 100% sure of your Tuesday.

The workshop runs from 3:00 PM for two hours, with doors opening at 2:40 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before things kick off. It's at the Langsett Building, 1 Howard Street, right in Sheffield City Centre (S1 2LX), and tickets are £9.38.
