Community charity rugby match staged by the Astons Allstars, open to rugby fans and families, with proceeds raised for a good cause.
Astons Allstars are back on the pitch for their second charity rugby match, this time at Steel City Stadium on Saturday 30 January 2027. It's a community game put on by the Astons Allstars themselves, with the proceeds going to a good cause.
This is the second edition of the match, and it's being organised by Elys Army. The organisers describe it as a fun-filled day of rugby and sportsmanship open to everyone, from die-hard rugby fans to families, and they've billed it as a day that brings together rugby fans and the local community. It's a community charity match in the truest sense — a game played for a cause rather than a league table.
If you're not a rugby regular, it's a low-stakes way to get involved. The whole thing is open to everyone, so it's as much for families as it is for people who know their way around a scrum. The match runs from 2 pm to 4 pm, right in the middle of the afternoon, which makes it easy to work around.
