Ania Magliano

Ania Magliano plays the Sheffield City Hall Memorial Hall on Wednesday 21 April 2027, with the show starting at 19:30. It's a solo stand-up set, so it's just her on stage for the night.

If you haven't come across her yet, Magliano is a Polish-Italian comedian and actress who's been climbing the ranks for a few years now. She started out with the Cambridge Footlights and made her mark early on, reaching the final of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2018 and the Funny Women final in 2020. Her Edinburgh Fringe debut came in 2022 with Absolutely No Worries If Not, and she returned to the Fringe in 2026 with Peach Fuzz.

Since then, things have moved quickly. In 2026 she was announced as part of the initial cast of the UK version of Saturday Night Live, and she's starred in the latest series of Taskmaster. She's a regular on Live At The Apollo and her work has earned an Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Show nomination. She's also spent time opening for Ed Gamble, Marc Maron and Catherine Cohen, and writes for Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date.

There's a bit of a consensus on what she does, too. The Telegraph called her 'a gift for observational comedy' and The Guardian said she 'will have you crying with laughter'. If you're into that kind of thing, this is a good one to keep on your radar. The gig is at the Memorial Hall in Sheffield City Hall, Barker's Pool, Sheffield S1 2JA, on Wednesday 21 April 2027 at 19:30.
