Jimmy Anderson, England's greatest fast bowler, returns to the stage with Tailenders co-host Felix White to recount his cricket career, from iconic wickets to the Ashes.
Jimmy Anderson is coming to Sheffield City Hall on Sunday 24 January 2027, for an evening on stage with Felix White, co-host of the Tailenders podcast. It's a conversation about a career that's hard to wrap your head around: 21 years, 188 Test matches, and 704 wickets. He's billed as England's greatest ever fast bowler, the 'king of swing' who retired from international cricket but still plays for Lancashire in the domestic game. He'll be recounting his favourite moments, his most iconic wickets, and a few cult-classic stories from with the bat, told with the honesty, humour and humility they've become known for on Tailenders.
There's a good bit of the Ashes in here, too. Anderson will be talking through the rivalry that defines the game, recalling clashes with Ricky Ponting and Mitchell Johnson, and his 2009 batting heroics alongside Monty Panesar. If you've followed his career from the early days, it's the kind of thing you've probably wondered aboutโthe stories that don't always make it into the match reports. If you're new to it, it's a decent way to get a handle on how he ended up where he did.
