Monthly peer support group for people bereaved by suicide, hosted by Amparo at the Crystal Peaks Library.
A Cup of Calm is back at Crystal Peaks Library on Monday 2 November, from 14:00 to 15:30. It's a monthly peer support group for anyone bereaved by suicide, and this session runs for an hour and a half.
The group is hosted by Amparo, and the whole thing is built around the idea of a gentle, informal space to meet and connect with others who understand the particular complexities of suicide loss, without fear of judgement or stigma. It's not a formal support session in the way you might imagine: there's no pressure to talk, and you don't have to share anything if you're not feeling it. The afternoon is spent with refreshments and conversation in a safe, compassionate environment, where the main thing is just being around people who get it. It's a chance to find a bit of comfort, community and understanding among people who've been through similar ground.

Amparo runs the sessions, and their staff are available to speak to privately if you need a one-to-one chat during the afternoon. The group meets once a month, so if this particular date doesn't work, there'll be another one soon after. It's free to attend, and you'll find it at Crystal Peaks Library, 1-3 Peak Square, Waterthorpe, Sheffield S20 7PH, on Monday 2 November from 14:00 to 15:30.
